Grassy Creek Falls, DuPont State Forest
On April 8, Holy Hikers will venture to Grassy Creek Falls, located in DuPont State Forest. The trail begins near Lake Imaging, then climbs up towards Grassy Creek, which is a Little River tributary located near the top of High Falls. At 60 feet, Grassy Creek Falls is smaller than Dupont’s major falls, but it is situated in a temperate rainforest micro-habitat that includes lichen-covered tree limbs. The in-and-out trail is rated easy with a total length of 3.1 miles and an elevation gain of 393 feet.
Please pack water and snacks. Walking sticks or trekking poles are not required but are always a good idea, since areas around the falls may be slippery. Dogs are allowed but must remain on leash.
