Good News Gardeners - St. John in the Wilderness

Established in 2023, the Good News Gardeners (GNG) incorporate prayer and liturgy into working in the Foster Educational Garden at Kanuga. On the fourth Tuesday of each month they meet in the morning at the garden to complete a list of activities alongside Kanuga's Environmental Programs Specialist and any others who wish to volunteer. There is also a Saturday work day in the summer.

Supplies are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own gloves and favorite tools. Garden tasks are available for differing levels of ability. All are welcome!

Produce from the garden is donated to our charitable partners in collaboration with Kanuga. Our 2024 harvests will benefit the Mountain Trail Outdoor School. Sign up below to receive updates and add your name to the list of gardeners proclaiming the Good News!
