A Christmas Memory
For the sixth consecutive season, actor and theologian Dr. E.R. Haire, Jr. will once again grace the stage at St. John in the Wilderness with his moving one-man performance of Truman Capote’s heartwarming story, A Christmas Memory. This annual tradition has become a beloved event for the Flat Rock community and beyond, offering a nostalgic escape into the tender, bittersweet memories of Capote’s early years.

The performances will take place in the Wilderness Room of the Parish House, located at 1905 Greenville Highway, Flat Rock—just across from the historic Episcopal Church of St. John in the Wilderness.
Dr. Haire, reflecting on his upcoming performances, expressed gratitude for the support he’s received throughout the years. "It is once again an honor to bring this classic story to life. I am grateful to the good people of St. John in the Wilderness and the greater Flat Rock community and beyond who have supported my efforts," he shared.
